This Sunday February 28, 2010

    A new year stands before us, what it will bring we do not know, we all have many hopes, and many expectation for this new year.
     Many are looking for a turn around in the economy, and other expect for things to come back to normal, and life to carry on as usual.
     However life will not be as usual, and there are changes that are coming and that are here that are sure signs that Christ is not far from coming.
     While many wonder about what this year will hold I wonder how many are thinking beyond this year and into eternity and how many are preparing for what is to come in eternity.
     This life is very short in comparison to eternity, it is merely a drop in a bucket, yet many can't see beyond, or refuse to think beyond the few years we have in this world.
     But we will all enter into eternity one day, we are all promised to die, and after this we will face the judgment, we will stand before God and answer for our life, and for what we did with Jesus Christ.
     God sent His Son Jesus to die in our place for our sins, He did this so that we, who are sinners, who are guilty before a holy God, might escape the punishment of our sins through Christ's sacrifice on the cross. 
     Christ died in our place, and bore our punishment, that if we believe on Him and cry out to Him to save us from our sins, He will.

     This is the only way to prepare for eternity, all the money in the world cannot prepare us, ignoring it cannot prepare us, waiting until we face God will be too late, today is the day of salvation, do you know Him? Are you prepared?
